OVERVIEW

Blue Bell Greenhouse offers a pick-your-own CSA at the low cost of only $350 per share. The CSA includes a wide variety of vegetables and fresh herbs that are planted, maintained, weeded, etc. by us and picked by you. This allows  members to become more involved with the growing process. The CSA runs from mid-June through the end of October and offers vegetables such as: tomatoes, eggplant, cucumbers, beans, brussels sprouts, kale, swiss chard, carrots, beets, peppers, and much more.

GROWING PRACTICES

Cultural, biological, and physical pest control methods are employed in a preventative manner so as to reduce the risk of pest and disease challenges early on in the growing process. We avoid the use of pesticides on anything in the CSA unless there is the possibility of losing the crop. Pesticides are used as a last resort and only before the edible part of the plant has emerged (i.e. before fruit set).
